The one contest every escape room fan needs to complete

There's more to summer than scraping off the barbecue and cleaning leaves out of your pool - join Michigan's first Summer Escape Room Contest with your friends to try and win $500!

With so many different themes available to choose from, escape room enthusiasts can find the choice between escape games difficult. First-timers may find the selection especially overwhelming. This often means that players miss the opportunity to experience some of the best rooms in the state - they simply can't go to every room. In an effort to showcase their unique themes to a wide audience, and provide some extra summer fun, nine escape rooms across the state have come together to create the Summer Escape Room Contest - a competition that spans from Lansing to Detroit in search of the smartest teams in Michigan.

In a nutshell - teams of 4+ people will try to escape from one room in at least 7 of the 9 participating businesses. After completing the required number of rooms, groups will be ranked on their overall escape time. Instead of just winning bragging rights and a spot on the leaderboard, the fastest group will win the grand prize. Groups that rank within 2nd to 7th place can take home smaller prizes.

It'll be a smorgasbord of themes: ghost ships, murders, stolen trophies, and even rogue A.I will be on the menu - be sure to sample a bit of everything as you work your way across the lower peninsula towards your prize!

You can swing by any of the participating locations to register your team and pick up an official time sheet.
